Carol Leigh Rafferty

June 10, 1955 - April 17, 2022

Carol Rafferty passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at the age of 66. She was born on June 10, 1955 to Alfred and Nell and is survived by daughters, Shawna Townsend, Caitlin Oishi, and husband, Michael Joseph Rafferty. Carol is an alumni of Narbonne high school and has been a resident of Manhattan Beach since the 1970’s. Carol met her husband of 44 years, Mike, at Ercoles. Mike said Carol was a “knockout” and remembers the bar stool she sat on. Carol took great pride in raising her children and was a constant presence at all school and sporting events. In addition to being a loving mother and wife, Carol was an adoring Grandmother (also known as Nana) to her three grandchildren. Carol loved Disneyland, her three dogs, gardening and shopping trips. Some of the best memories made were with her family in Maui and at Disneyland. Carol will be remembered as a kind, generous and loving woman, a loss to so many. We will be honoring Carol during her Memorial Service on May 4th, at 11:30am at Green Hills mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be submitted to the ASPCA for animal rescue.
