Edward Benardo was the beloved husband and best friend of Dorothy Benardo for nearly 45 years. He passed away on March 3, 2022 at the age of 80. Edward was born in Los Angeles in 1941. He graduated from Dorsey High School in 1960, attended El Camino College and Long Beach State University, and received his Juris Doctor degree from South Bay University College of Law in Los Angeles in 1974. He was an attorney in private practice in Torrance specializing in civil litigation and business law for over 20 years. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (Duncan) Benardo, daughter Ariana (Benardo) Walicke, son-in-law Adam Walicke, granddaughter Elin Walicke, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Edward and his family lived in the Seaside area of Torrance where he was President of the Seaside Homeowners Association. They then moved to New Horizons retirement community where he served on the governing board. Edward enjoyed spending time with family and friends; partaking in many activities such as dinners and movies, attending local theater performances, driving along the beach, playing cards, adoring his Pomeranian, and playing with his granddaughter. He was an amazing father and proud Poppy. Edward was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
