Joyce M Slagle

February 16, 1939 - March 4, 2022

Joyce Marie (Clark) Slagle, of Rancho Palos Verdes, the beloved wife of Burgess Wayne Slagle for 54 years, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 83. Joyce was born February 16, 1939 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, later moving to San Pedro, Ca at the age of 4 years old. She was a devoted Catholic attending first Holy Trinity Elementary and then graduating from Mary Star of the Sea High School in 1957. Joyce was employed by Lucky Stores as an office manager for 20 years. Her hobbies were quilting, crafting, decorating and traveling. She loved celebrating all the holidays with her family. She was kindhearted and truly cared about the wellbeing of family and friends. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Pierina Clark, her brother Donald Clark and sisters Carolyn Jensen and Cathy Camm. She is survived by her children Ronald (Heather) Lawson, Barbara (Frank) Ernandes, Marietta Lawson, Michael Lawson, Melanie (James) Baeza, and Jessica (Brian) Summers; her grandchildren Briana (Veronica) Ernandes, Nicholas Ernandes, Jeffery Lawson, RJ Lawson, Ethan Lawson, Jack Baeza, and Amber Summers; her great grandchildren Daniel, Giovanni, and Ezra Rose Ernandes; her siblings Clifton (Tanya Sanderson) Clark, Emmett (Patti) Clark, Judi (Angelo Rossi) Kiel, Betty (Clifford) Landes.
