    Laura Davis

    May 1, 1950 - December 23, 2020

    Laura Anne Davis of Manhattan Beach, California Age 70 passed away peacefully on December 23, 2020. She was a resident of California for over 30 years. She was born on May 1, 1950 in Munhall, Pennsylvania. She was the first born of five children -preceded in death to William (December 2008) and Marjorie (Kender) Davis (January 2020). Sister to Diane Davis of Largo, Florida, Maryanne Letteri of Redondo Beach, California, Brother Daniel Davis (Gail-Wife) of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania and Eric Davis (Tina-Wife) of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania. Nephews, Alden Davis, Adam Letteri and Nieces, Amanda Letteri, Shannon Davis, Maggie and Nora Davis. She was retired from Continental/United Airlines in Los Angeles, California where she was employed for over 25 years. She started her career at U.S. Steel Homestead Works in Pennsylvania, followed by Chemlawn located in Columbus, Ohio then relocated to Atlanta Georgia. Laura then found her dream job by working as a flight attendant with Continental Airlines. She enjoyed traveling around the world, her most favorite places to visit were Palau and Hawaii. She became a Master Scuba Diver during these years where she was able experience the wonders of the oceans. She was also recognized on April 15, 1993 as part of the Civil Reserve Air Fleet for outstanding support to the United States Air Force and the Nation in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. She had various hobbies and interests during her lifetime - She was a platform diver while in high school and college. She then became a life guard for the county . She enjoyed snow skiing in Pennsylvania and teaching culinary classes while in Columbus, Ohio. Her time in California led her to travel the world and meet new fiends in various countries. She will be laid to rest back in Pennsylvania next to her father and mother at a later time. To all the friends and family - Laura truly enjoyed her life and is now at peace, free from her pain and suffering during the later years of her life. Heaven gained another angel. My Dearest Sister, my heart is broken - we enjoyed our times here in California but I know you are now at peace. Every time I make cabbage and noodles (Halushki) I will be thinking of you - Love Always and Forever Maryanne In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice in the name of Laura Davis.
